The Tempest – Ustinov Theatre, Bath (1st July – 6th August 2022)

I worked as a Costume Runner on The Tempest, a contemporary adaptation directed by Deborah Warner at the Ustinov Theatre in Bath. In this role, I was responsible for supporting the wardrobe team with costume maintenance and laundering throughout the run of the production. I ensured costumes were correctly set up in dressing rooms before each performance and followed the costume plot during shows to assist with any on-the-spot requirements. This experience allowed me to gain a practical understanding of backstage operations in a professional setting and further develop my organisational and time-management skills in a live theatre environment. Being part of such a creatively ambitious production gave me valuable insight into the detailed work that goes into supporting a high-quality costume department.
